This roto is comprised of everyone who got back to me.  Please just get your mix to your assigned person by the end of this month. If you want to be considered for winning a beer from me, post your mixes by thursday night.  A new mix theme will be posted friday.   I can mostly act as a conduit for this, I believe. August/September Theme

Congratulations to those who managed to complete the Six Degrees of Separation Mix.  It was tough, it was brutal, it was in the middle of summer when people were getting married.   A time when people chose beer and illicit substances over mild mannered mix-making.  Times were simpler then, people laughed more.

Moving on, this month’s theme was decided by Travis S., not because Vic picked him to win last month, but because he hasn’t had a shot yet, and he’s made all of his mixes so far.   Congrats Trav.   Not to worry, Victor, you are still owed one (1) beer (beer) from me (you).  All mix club winners are entitled to one beer purchased from me.  This price is transferable and can be traded for the cash value of 12 (twelve) peanuts.

If you are actually reading this, and haven’t just skipped on to to see what the theme is, congratulations.  You have now wasted about 30-45 seconds.   I’d also like to extend a hearty welcome to the many new members this month.   Good luck, and I’ll have a rotation up in, oh, a couple days.

THIS MONTH’S THEME IS….Farrell’s Summer Vacation.

This one is pretty broad.   For those of you who don’t know, Farrell is spending time doing media analysis with the Lincoln Group in the Greenzone, or the IZ, in Iraq.   He’s been there since June and has about two more months to go (am I right Farrell?).   Take any angle you want on this.   You can pick songs about the topics and events in his posts –Cuban cigars, beards, body armor, palaces, Baghdad.   You can make a war themed mix, or a soundtrack for the events in his posts.   Whatever you want to do with this, go for it, as long as it relates to his blog in some way.

June Mix Theme

After a brief month off in may, it’s time to get back to being the raddest fucking hipsters around.   The theme for June was picked by April’s winner.  None other than Victor!   And the theme is….6 Degrees of Separation to Kevin Bacon’s Ass.

Well, it doesn’t have to directly reference Kevin Bacon’s ass, but it does have to be 6 degrees of seperation.  For example, begin with a band, then such and such member used to be in the next band, the singer from that band had anal sex with the drummer from this band, that drummer used to work at the subway that so and so frequented…and so on and son forever and forever, or until you have a good mix.  Whichever comes first.    I will have a rotation up by next week.  Let me know if you can’t do it this month for any reason, but I’m assuming the only good reason would be because your vag is bleeding.

April Mix Theme

Hooray, sports and leisure turned out to be quite the success. Thanks everyone. I believe the last of the mixes should be trickling out this week. Thank you all for a great month. If you don’t get yours by the 15th, let me know and I’ll make you a special make up mix.

All right, as you know, it’s time for Brad ‘leisure meister” baker to choose the theme, and that theme is…….Songs that mention fictional/mythological places. There you go. I will put up the rotation later this week once I know for sure who’s IN and who’s OUT. Auf eda zin (sp?).

Don’t forget, Brad is now this month’s judge, and has the ability to MAKE or BReak you.   And he will do both if you’re not careful!!!

Sports & Leisure

All right everyone, it’s nearly spring, which as you all of you know means MARCH MADNESS!!!!!  In honor of this wonderful month, this month’s challenge is to create a mix with the following theme:  Sports & Leisure.      No minimum song requirement or anything, but HERE IS THE DEAL  of course you don’t HAVE to make a mix with this theme, but by the end of this week I’ll have a mix blog up that we can all post to — by MARCH 31 post your mix, and I will choose a winner.  The winner will then get to assign the theme/ challenge for April!!!    Then that person will be able to judge the winner of that month’s contest, and so on and so forth.   If you don’t finish your mix in time, guess what, you don’t get to pick a winner or compete!   Also, if you win…you are entitle to one (1) free beer from me.   That’s right, I’ll buy you one beer of your choice, even something slightly above the quality of Pabst.   This setup is not by any means set in stone, but let’s see how it goes.   Also, you can’t pick yourself as winner, that is outlawed, and you will be murdered by highly skilled pigeons if you do that.   Also, If you don’t get your mix sent by the due date, you will be deemed a CUNT.  That’s right, a CUNT.
